Asirisi welcomes the first wave of tourists for the New Year, and the vibrant “Nine Streams” Spring Festival series of events kicks off!

At the start of the Spring Festival holiday, Asilisi Leek Flat and Ertaipo Scenic Area welcomed the first wave of tourists for the New Year. The region’s unique highland mountain scenery has become a popular choice for springtime travel. The scenic areas have made advance preparations and provided meticulous services, ensuring that tourism reception activities are conducted safely, smoothly, and efficiently, allowing visitors from all over to joyfully celebrate the New Year amid the stunning highland landscapes.

The Asilisi Leek Flat and Ertaipo Scenic Areas harbor a romantic landscape unique to the Wumeng Plateau. Within the Leek Flat Scenic Area, rolling mountain ranges entice visitors to stop and take photos; in the early morning, clouds and mist swirl gently, turning everything within sight into a poetic masterpiece. Meanwhile, the Ertaipo Scenic Area vividly showcases the vast expanse of southern grasslands in winter. Situated on a high-altitude grassland with an average elevation of nearly 2,300 meters, cattle and sheep wander leisurely across the land. The pristine winter scenery and natural wild charm leave visitors captivated and reluctant to depart. These two scenic areas have become popular destinations for short trips and nearby excursions during the Spring Festival.

To celebrate the Spring Festival holiday and create a lively and harmonious festive atmosphere, the Jiugou Shui Hot Spring Resort has integrated local cultural characteristics with its resort’s themed event resources to launch the special event “Celebrating the New Year by the Liuqu River—Reuniting in the Hot Spring Area.”

The “New Year Greetings—Men’s Basketball Tournament” sets the stage for passionate athletic excitement; the “Jointly Welcoming the New Year—Tug-of-War Competition” offers thrilling and spectacular displays of teamwork; and a series of entertaining hot-spring events—including swimming races, parent-child lucky-ball-dipping activities, fortune-ring-tossing games, and obstacle-course challenges—draw large crowds of visitors. Parents and children team up to scoop up balls together, unlocking good luck for the New Year and winning generous prizes.

The folk-custom experience is warmly inviting, with a thousand people coming together to make tangyuan and celebrate family reunion. Visitors can sign up free of charge to take part in the tangyuan-making competition and enjoy the fun of handcrafting tangyuan. After the competition, participants can also sample the sweet tangyuan for free, savoring the rich flavors of the Lunar New Year amid the soft, chewy dumplings and fully experiencing the beauty of togetherness. As an added bonus, the event has prepared hot spring tickets as prizes for participants, allowing everyone to not only immerse themselves in traditional customs but also to be pleasantly surprised along the way.
