The Millennium Rhododendron Scenic Area is situated on a plateau approximately 2,000 meters in elevation at the junction of Songlinpo Township and Xingfa Township in Hezhang County, Bijie City. It is renowned for its vast expanse of ten thousand mu of rhododendron forest, often hailed as the “Millennium Flower Sea of the Plateau.” Within the forest, ancient trees twist and sprawl, their dense canopies blotting out the sun, some of them dating back as far as a thousand years—hence the name.
